The quarantine has been something we’ve been dealing with for almost a while now. Every day ,we wake up thinking “Is it over yet?” only to find out that the Coronavirus is still affecting us greatly.
People have been head over heels trying to kill time by trying to be either as productive as possible or even act like a couch potato and just enjoy their time by kicking back and relaxing without a care in the world. Other people, unfortunately for them, are having to work from home to keep their jobs rather than be fired.
In retrospect, we are running out of things to do as well as the patience to overcome the Coronavirus by waiting things out. The people and kids who have tested positive for the virus or are being held captive for quarantine are fearing for their lives and have nothing to do while waiting for the news.
Which is why, you’d be impressed to know that the CEO of the House and Arab Publishers Association Chairperson Mohamed Rashad claims that the Egyptian-Lebanese Publishing House will be gifting a large number of books to several isolation hospitals so that these people can kill time as well as calm down their nerves by having so many interesting books to read with various genres.
This newfound initiative’s aim is to kill time inside the quarantine in the best and most efficient way possible. Mohamed has been showing eagerness throughout commencing this initiative by discussing with officials at the Ministry of Health how they’ll be delivering these books in the most hygienic way possible.
Another initiative has been starting up another initiative on the side where they tend to deliver books to clients free of charge. It was announced on Friday that 41 new cases of the Coronavirus have tested positive leaving us to a total number of 536 people who have been infected.
We hope that this new initiative will truly be helpful to the people stuck in isolation, there’s nothing better than a good book to feed the brain in desperate times like these.
