We have sat down with Hend Sabry, the Tunisian beauty that has been blessing the Egyptian screen with her charismatic performance, to find out that her personality off screen is even more charming.


She let us in on her preparation techniques for any role; she told us that she plays music, as she believes that it prepares her for any tough role. She also studies the character she’s playing, by writing down its history.

She’s always trying to visualize herself in that role, that she sometimes wakes up thinking of this character behaving in a certain way, having a specific role, all of which are things that she accidentally comes up with.


Some cinema lines never get old, they’re timeless and larger than life. This surely applies on her famous line ‘Ayza ward ya Ibrahim’ from the movie ‘Ahla el Aw’at’, the line is a trending meme on social media that is regularly manipulated based on a situation. Hend Sabry tells us that it is one of the funniest comments that she has ever had, and that she actually enjoys them very much.


What she misses mostly in men? Well, she definitely had a good laugh when asked that question, but eventually settled for them ”being gentlemen, and doing small gestures such opening the car door, waiting for the lady to get in first, and these sort of old school gestures that no longer exist.”

Farida Osman and Rana El-Kaliouby Make it to ‘BBC 100 Women 2019’ List

BBC 100 Women 2019,”is a recently published list by the BBC that sheds the light on the most influential women of the world through highlighting their achievements, in an attempt to answer the question of “What would the future look like if it were driven by women?”

The list included 15 names from Arab countries which makes 15% of the list influential Arab women, of those Arabs are two incredibly strong and ambitious Egyptian women, Farida Osman and Rana El Kaliouby. 

Rana El Kaliouby is an Egyptian scientist, and as the co-founder and CEO of the MIT startup Affectiva, she has contributed greatly in the fields of facial expression recognition research and technology development. Her company now has 2 million faces in its repository, which is the world’s largest facial emotion repository.

Farida Osman, the Egyptian swimmer who we have been praising her career since 2017 following her first individual title at the NCAA. The athlete holds the African record in the 50-meter freestyle race and the Egyptian records for the 100-meter freestyle and butterfly races. She never failed to leave us in awe and this year, BBC recognizes Osman for her bronze medal victory at the World Swimming Championship.

It’s Official: Bella Hadid Is The Most Beautiful Woman in the World

Palestinian Supermodel Bella Hadid has officially been declared as the most beautiful woman in the world according to a Harley Street plastic surgeon who used an ancient mathematical formula to prove it.

Dr. Julian De Silva utilized an ancient Greek formula, known as the Golden Ratio of Phi, that was used in the past by the Greeks in measuring beauty and analyzing faces to solve mysteries behind a beautiful face.

Now according to this technique used, Bella Hadid came on top of the list even beating Beyoncé who came in second followed by Gigi Hadid, Katy Perry, Amber Heard, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Kate Moss, Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman, and Cara Delevingne.

According to the calculations done by De Silve, Haidid’s facial proportions were found to be 94.35% ‘accurate’ according the Golden Ratio of Beauty, making her the most beautiful face out of all the celebrities that followed her on the list.

Pilots Suspended For Allowing Mohamed Ramadan into the Cockpit

According to Egypt’s Civil Aviation Ministry, a pilot and co-pilot got suspended after superstar Mohamed Ramadan shared a video of him flying the jet himself and it went viral.

The civil aviation ministry confirmed the legitimacy of the video, however, the plane belongs to a private Egyptian jets company and not Egyptair.

The video has went viral in no time, after the star posted a photo on Instagram in the cockpit and then a video on Twitter. The star was heading to Riyadh to participate in the Joy Forum, and people found it impressive that he apparently can now fly a plane.

 

“In a first of its kind experience, I will go drive the plane,” Ramadan says in the video he shared on Twitter, and a man in the background of the video is heard saying, “I  swear to God, Mohamed Ramadan is the one driving the plane now.”
