This time, Bassem Youssef isn’t making his return as the sarcastic, witty presenter we got used to but instead, he will rely on his medical experience to advise and guide the audience on the benefits of plant-based diets for health.

More details are yet to be announced soon about the programme, but what we know is that the channel will also feature programmes hosted by Moataz Al-Demerdash, Zina Al-Yazji, Rasha Al-Khatib, Saad Zaghloul and Muhammad Fathy. The channel will combine its content with the latest technical features that are used for the very first time in the region.

We can’t wait for Youssef’s comeback and are eager to see the promising work of the channel.

The festival was held on November 2nd in Uruguay and ‘Yellow’ was the only Arab film submitted in the festival, it stars the talented Passant Shawky and is directed by Mahitab Ayoub.

The movie, which is written by Rawiah Ismail Abdallah, tells the story of a woman who takes care of her father. It follows her struggle in looking after him, especially that he suffers from Alzheimer and is at a severe stage, at which he can’t remember his own daughter. She does everything in her power to remind him of all the things they shared together.

“For a subtle approach to a relentless disease, for a portrait that at the moment reaches amazing maturity, not exempt from fine humor and an endearing character.” The credits for the movie said.

Also worth mentioning is that the movie was shot in only one day! Something that required too much work and planning, but the results were completely worth it.
