Cairo International Book Fair: Why It’s Every Reader’s Safe Haven




The 51st Cairo International Book Fair has finally been inaugurated under the slogan of “Egypt Africa .. A Culture of Diversity” and will run until the 4th of February.

The book fair is currently being held in Egypt International Exhibitions Center in the Fifth Settlement District with 98 bus lines provided to ease the transportation of visitors.

40 countries are participating in this year’s edition including Senegal as the guest of honor, and with Gamal Hamdan as the main personality of the fair.

Book worms will get to enjoy 808 pavilions and books from countless publishers from Egypt and worldwide, as the number of entities participating are 900, witnessing a significant increase compared to last year.

Not only that but there will also be audio and electronic books publishers and 255 Arab publishing houses.

Moreover, the cinema hall is hosting a number of the most prominent movie stars and filmmakers, including Yousra, Lebleba, Aser Yassin, Mustafa Shaaban, Ziad Nassar, Mohammed Farrag, and Abdul Rahim Kamal.

The book fair is every reader’s dream land that provides them with an endless number of books with very reasonable prices.

So stay tuned because this year, it’s not going to be just about the books but also about cultural and artistic activities, most of which will focus on various African cultures and arts.

President Sisi Takes Part in A Peace Marathon Among the Youth




President AbdelFattah El-Sisi took part in an international peace marathon which took place yesterday, on the sidelines of the World Youth Forum currently held in Sharm Al-Sheikh.

The marathon saw the participation of young runners from different countries, president Sisi was spotted in a number of photos with the participants in front of the peace icon memorial.

The forum that witnessed the participation of more than 7,000 youth from different nationalities, will wrap up its activities today evening.

““My happiness is mixed with hope as I witness enthusiastic and conscious young people with spirits full of energy and love, working together towards a world of goodness and peace,” Sisi wrote on his official Twitter account.
