The ministry of Education just announced radical changes to the Egyptian educational system.
For the sake of better education and a brighter future for Egyptian students, the ministry of education has released the latest radical decisions and changes that will implied starting next year.
Here are the biggest changes our educational system:
-The Thanawya Amma system we are all familiar with will no longer be eligible; it will be replaced with the categories system; there will be four categories and they are “Art, Languages, Humanitarian Studies, Sciences”.
-Students won’t start going through exams until they are in 4th grade, instead there will be activities to measure how the student is doing
-National, experimental and private schools will no longer have science nor mathematics in English or any other foreign language.
-The focus will be more on teaching the Arabic language and other subjects in Arabic as well; in order for students to have a stronger mother tongue and revive the Arabic Language
-Different curriculums in foreign languages will only be available in language and international schools
-Grades won’t be the only factor that determine the success or failure but just a measurement to the student’s knowledge.
