Dina El Sherbiny Under Fire For Wearing a Revealing Dress in Riyadh

Dina El Sherbiny has caused a storm of controversy in Saudi Arabia after showing up to the Joy Awards, that was held last night in Riyadh, wearing a revealing single-arm dress.
The young actress was accompanying her partner Amr Diab to the awards ceremony for support, and the couple certainly turned heads but it was El-Sherbiny’s look that angered many.
The actress appeared in a short black dress, single-armed and exposed, people of Saudi Arabia quickly took it to social media to criticize her poor choice of clothing and accused her of lack of decency.
It’s true that women in Saudi Arabia are obliged to wear abayas, and even though celebrities don’t really have to conform with this rule, many prefer to cover up as a sign of respect to their rules.

The attacks are continuing with some complaining that rules are only applied on Saudi women, others are accusing her of disrespecting their traditions and rules.
Others demanded from chairperson of the GEA Turki Al-Sheikh, to have the same rules applied on Dina and to prevent her from entering the Kingdom again…
We’ll see how this goes, and hope that citizens calm down soon.
