The Creative Industry Summit Launches With Remarkable Keynote Speakers



The creative Industry summit was launched today for the fifth year, the summit is a two-day program hosting the world’s most prominent minds whom will share invaluable insights into the latest trends in the creative field.

The summit is running from the 26th of March till the 27th, at the Four Seasons Nile Plaza.

It was announced today that the next edition of the summit will be held next September in Lebanon, as the summit will be held as usual twice per year, once in Lebanon annually.

Mai Salama, Co-Founder of the Creative Industry Summit, stated that, “Starting this year the two editions of the summit will be held in Cairo and in Lebanon. This comes within the framework of our desire to share experiences in the creative field among the Arab countries. In Lebanon, it will be a full complete marketing communications, advertising and media edition where we will be bringing Egyptian and foreign experts to share their insights. It is a homegrown brand and product and we are very pleased to take it to Lebanon and share the Egyptian born creativity abroad with the rest of the Arab world. We are very proud to be expanding our brand and we are looking forward to the upcoming edition.”

Mai Salama also commented on the evolution of the event saying that,

“This year, we are expanding the scope of the summit with the wide participation of more than 80 local, regional and international experts in various creative fields, in light of the success achieved by the previous editions of the summit over the past five years since 2014. The tenth edition of the summit witnesses three main themes: Advertising, Media & Marketing, E-commerce & Technology and Food Innovation.”

The summit is taking place over three parallel tracks throughout the two days of the conference, so that the attendees can get the opportunity to attend what suits their interests and meet their creative ambitions.

The first day included the Advertising, Media & Marketing as well as the E-commerce & technology tracks, while the second day will include the second part of the advertising, Media & Marketing tack as well as the Food Innovation Track.

As for the speakers at the E-commerce & Technology track, they are: Verizon Media’s RYOT’s Creative Director, Ricky Baba and Head of R&D, Herve Visira; CEO & Founder of Ethos Media, Navjeet Chhina; Andro Nabil, Marketing Communication & PR Manager at Realme Egypt; Reem Alameddin, Head of Operations at CashU Jordan; Founder & Chairman of Himangel, Dr. Khalid Ismail; and Managing Director of SAP, Hoda Mansour.

The track of food Innovation will explore the future of the industry, in addition to the creative aspects that comprise the basis of a restaurant’s success in the market.

The 2019 Creative Industry Summit distinguishes itself from previous installments by the unprecedented amount of participants involved and the variety of specializations provided throughout the event.

Christmas Concerts to be Held at Cairo and Alexandria Opera Houses




Both Cairo and Alexandria Opera Houses are set to celebrate Christmas with three concerts and ballet shows to be held on the 10th, 13th and 14th of December.

The concerts will be all about festivities and Christmas spirit, by presenting a selection of well-known musicals and international songs that are being presented for the very first time. They’re being prepared by Amir Awad, Osama Ali, and Imad Adel, under the supervision of Magdy Saber.

The Cairo Opera Troupe will present three concerts and ballet shows designed by Armenia Kamel, supervised by art director Iman Mostafa and directed by Abdullah Saad.

Cairo Opera Orchestra and the Cairo Opera Choir will also participate in the concerts, also with the participation of art shows performed by members of the Cairo Opera Ballet.

The concerts in Cairo will be held at the Cairo Opera’s Grand Theater and the third concert will take place in the Sayed Darwish Theater at Alexandria Opera.

Egypt’s Ministers Sit Down to Discuss Egypt’s Participation in Dubai Expo2020




Egypt is getting ready for its participation in one of the biggest events the Dubai Expo 2020 and to prepare for the event, Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled Al-Anani met with Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea to go over the arrangements. 

After getting postponed due to the virus, the Dubai Expo will take place for six months from October 2021.

The meeting was attended by Ms Ghada Shalaby, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Tourism Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Maghawry, Head of the Commercial Representation Authority and General Commissioner for the Egyptian Participation at Expo Dubai 2020, and Mr. Hatem Al Ashry, Adviser to the Minister of Trade and Industry for Institutional Communication,.

In addition to representatives from the Ministries of Housing, Finance, Higher Education, Culture, Immigration, Tourism and Antiquities among several officials.

Dr. Khaled El Enany said that the ministry intend to present Egypt as a global archaeological and touristic destination in the pavilion at the Expo. According to him, the temporary exhibition at the Expo will showcase a number of Egyptian antiquities to reflect Egypt’s rich ancient history.

The minister also added that they’re keen on having a digital presence during the exhibition, which is why a a live broadcast of a number of Egyptian monuments and archaeological sites will be presented.

We can’t wait to see the history of Egypt beautifully presented at one of the hugest events of the time!
