In light of what has been going on around the world and Egypt specifically, the Coronavirus has caused so much mayhem and conflicts on a large scale. Ever since the beginning of the pandemic, government officials have instated that people should stay at home in order to “Break the Chain”.
They started out by giving schools and employees 2 weeks to stay at home and quarantine in hopes of matters simmering down a little and the virus maybe diminishing altogether. At first, this was great news to all the people who were forced to wake up and get out of bed on a daily basis.
The only conflict of such a decision was having to proceed working as well as studying from home, especially since the quarantine had been elongated and that a curfew was imposed right after.
School students for instance were asked to download an application called “Zoom” to resume classes online and proceed with their learning curriculum. At first, it was proven difficult for the teachers let alone the students to maneuver and use the application, but with time and trial and error, people were learning to adjust to the circumstances, especially since their grades are depending on that.
On the other hand, once teachers got the hang of using Zoom, they showed no mercy. After asking several parents that have kids around the age of 10 and above in grades like 4 of 5, they had claimed that their children are going through a lot at this current time.
We were told that their children get to bed at around 5AM in the morning. What? At other times, if they were lucky, the earliest they’d get to bed on a school night (Zoom online classes) was 2AM in the morning.
Parents have been complaining from the amount of work load given to the kids who are of young age, especially those who go to schools that teach difficult subject and curriculums such as German, French, and so on so forth. The teachers are showing no mercy at giving their students sheets and sheets of homeworks and lessons that they need to learn and work on in such little time.
We understand that in light of the COVID-19 circumstances, we have lost so much educational time trying to figure out how to handle the situation but the kids are finding it super difficult to keep up. I mean, what school student is forced to stay up till 5AM in the morning trying to finish their work? Only college students are forced to do so because they have a larger heavier load of work, but at the end of the day, these are just kids and we need to take it a bit easy on them.
Get to Know Rogena Beyond Her Role as Fadwa
We sat with the beautiful Rogena, or shall we say, Fadwa? And had a delightful talk with her regarding her role in El Brens and got to know her better!
Don’t worry, we maintained social distance and followed the precautionary measures.
There’s no doubt that Rogena aka Fadwa has created a huge buzz around her character this Ramadan in the series ‘El Brens.’
She killed it and definitely gave a performance that we all admired. But before we get into her role this Ramadan, let’s get to know the real Rogena first!
First thing Rogena does in the morning is sit in the garden and prune her flowers! She calls that her daily ritual which she shares with her Instagram family.
Her favorite meal is basically anything with Bachamel in it and we couldn’t agree more! Who doesn’t love some creamy pastas?
We asked her about the first thing she would do after this quarantine is over and she said that thankfully, nothing much have changed for her.
“I’m coping really well with everything happening and I’m not upset, thank god.” She said.
“The one thing I can do is maybe travel.” She added.
We then asked about the destination she wishes to go to.
‘Lebanon.’ She said!
Explaining that she has yet an undone series she needs to shoot, and we can’t wait to hear more deets about it!
In her spare time, Rogena likes to read, prepare for a character, watch TV and talk to her besties! Gossips, maybe?
Her favorite actress is Soad Hosny, and her favorite actor is Al Pacino and her favorite movie is ‘Lost Love’ ‘الحب الصائع’ which comes as no surprise, as it’s one of Soad Hosny’s beautiful classics.
You would be surprised to know that Rogena has a daredevil side in her! She’s a risk taker and when asked about the most dangerous thing she has ever done, she said ‘jumping off a plane.!”
So yep, apparently in her spare time, she reads, she trains and casually parachute!
If Rogena weren’t an actress, she would have dedicated all of her time to her home and would have become a full time housewife and mother.
But we are glad to see her excelling in both!
Commenting on her killer role as Fadwa, Rogina said ‘I never expected this huge success for Fadwa but I had faith in god and that hard work pays off.”
She also admitted that Fadwa is the hardest character she has ever played.
It definitely was a hard character but no one would have played just as well! From one success to another, we salute Rogina for being the great actress that she is.
Till next time and next interview, we hope you enjoyed this one just like we did!
Egypt Helps Save Libyan Lives Amidst Pandemic
Since Egypt was offered a lot of help in this coronavirus pandemic, it is always important to give back and care for other countries as well. With that said, Egypt has sent 44 containers filled with detergents to Libya through a shipping line.
Chairman of the Egyptian-Libyan Business Chamber ,Ibrahim al-Garary, graciously claimed that they are happy with the donation and contribution and that the shipping line was between Damietta Port and Tobruk Port.
The rest of the shipments carried both medical supplies as well as food that will be sent soon to neighboring countries that have unfortunately been shut down because of the extra precautionary measures that have been taken because of the Coronavirus. The Libyans had greeted the shipment with caution by sanitizing everything.
The Libyan’s had communicated with the Egyptians in hopes of introducing a shipping lines that will connect both countries so as Egypt will be capable of sending the supplies to help Libya fight this coronavirus outbreak. Up until this Friday, Libya has determined 24 infections in the country.
President Abdel Fatah al Sisi had directed and supervised Egyptian armed forces that had been sent to Italy on the 4th of April with two military jets that were carrying several things such as sanitizers, detergents, medical equipment, and protective suits.
Hala Zayed, the Minister of Health and Population had safely arrived in Italy yesterday evening and was accompanied by the Egyptian Military delegation in hopes of delivering medical supplies as well as aid.
Egypt has been striving to help Italy, Libya, China, and all the countries that are in need of help, aid, safety, and reinforcements. In rough times like these, we all need the help we could get.
Egypt has done marvelous acts of kindness and have even added statements on the packages sent to the Italians that is written “From the Egyptian people to the Italian people” in both Arabic and Italian. This gesture was well received and the Italian citizens were happy with the contribution.
Pregnant Woman Beats COVID-19
So far, we have witnessed various scary Coronavirus cases that left us trembling for our lives to the core. Dozens were left dead or even in severe situations which is why we have been strictly warned to abide by the quarantine.
It was broadcasted that a 30 year old woman who is pregnant has been affected with the Coronavirus pandemic. Fortunate for her and her fetus, she had miraculously recovered from the disease. She was admitted to Esna Specialized Hospital where she underwent strict quarantine and supervision.
The woman who is in her 8th month of pregnancy had proven negative twice which mislead her after her third test had proved positive. Now fully recovered from COVID-19, the doctor advised her to conduct a test for her baby as soon as it’s born.
Apparently, the woman had contracted the virus in the Red Sea from a woman who had tested positive. Similar to the pregnant woman, the patient that had tested positive was also rushed to Esna Specialized Hospital.
What we know so far is that the toll for the patients who have been infected with the virus is almost close to a thousand. Whereas the death toll is 66 and the number of people who have recovered is 296.
For those of you who are pregnant or expecting a child, you must be extremely careful since you’re carrying another person inside you and if something will happen to your fetus, there is no way to ensure its safety until it is outside of the womb. So take extra caution and remember to stay healthy by increasing your immune system.
