El-Seliti scored Tunisia’s second goal in the 72nd minute before Salah’s last minute goal came in an amazing way.

The Pharaohs deserved to win after a strong performance and offensive game led by the Mexican coach, Javier Aguirre, and only individual mistakes gave Tunisia their two goals.

The two teams met at Borg el-Arab stadium and their first match at Rades Stadium ended by a 1-0 victory for Tunisia through Taha Yassin Khneisi in June 2017.

The match was a good opportunity to push a number of new players who have joined the team during the current camp, or who have not had a chance in previous matches like the midfielder, Mohamed Mahmoud, and the striker, Taher Mohamed.

Aguirre continued his amazing run with the national team as he achieved four victories in four official games since he was appointed national team manager following Egypt’s world Cup early exit.

Egypt and Tunisia secured qualification for the tournament since the last round after Egypt achieved an away 2-0 victory over eSwatini, while Tunisia defeated Niger 2-1 in Niamey.

Mohamed Salah faces an act of racism during Liverpool’s 1-1 draw against West Ham United in London at the Premier League.

A video was posted on West Ham fan’s Twitter account, containing insults regarding the religious background of our beloved football player, the video went viral leading West Ham to take an action towards identifying the person involved.

A spokesman from West Ham United, expressed their keen on taking such an issue very seriously, saying that “At West Ham United, we have a zero tolerance policy to any form of violent or abusive behavior.”

In another statement, the London police said: “We are aware of a video in which it appears racial abuse is being directed at a player at a West Ham vs Liverpool game. No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.”

It is just sad to see that there are still people who judge others based on a race or religion, with disregard to their achievements. All we hope for now, is for West Ham United to take a serious action against this individual; in order to set an example for others.

Liverpool’s Klopp slams Salah critics over diving claims

LONDON – 30 January 2019: Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is singled out by critics for diving to win penalties because he plays for a top Premier League club, manager Juergen Klopp has said.

Salah, who has been involved in four penalty decisions in Liverpool’s last five league games, was pulled up for falling over in the box in their win over Crystal Palace where referee Jonathan Moss refused to award a foul.

“All the others can do it from time to time and nobody really talks about it, that’s all fine,” Klopp told reporters ahead of Liverpool’s Premier League match against Leicester City on Wednesday.

“There are other situations that are much more obvious and nobody is talking about that because it’s not City, it’s not United, it’s not Liverpool, it’s not Arsenal or it’s not Chelsea.”

Klopp questioned why Leicester striker Jamie Vardy escaped censure after he fell over looking to win a penalty against Southampton earlier this month.

“Did anyone talk to Jamie Vardy? He jumped then,” Klopp added. “Is Jamie a bad person because of that? I don’t say now he is a diver, that is another situation.”
