We come from a 5000-year civilization that is considered the richest civilization around the world with a long history an endless number of monuments and artifacts.

With the latest discovery it seems like we are far from finding and discovering everything that belonged to the pharaoh era.
The ministry of Antiques announced last Saturday that the Ain Shams University archaeological mission has uncovered a royal celebrations hall dating back to the era of Ramses in Matareya district.

Mamdouh Al-Damati, head of excavation, has described the discovery as “one of its kind”, declaring that it was where King Ramses must have celebrated royal events; it is believed that the celebration hall dates back the third transition period, especially the era of the families of the twenty-second and twenty-third.
“it was discovered under the soft brick buildings and the commercial residential area” Said Al-Damati. The celebration hall that is believed to be a part of the royal palace measures 2.90m x 1.90m that consists of limestone tiles and rises 80 cm from the ground.

In addition to the great discovery, a lot of unique artifacts were discovered on the site including a painting of the high priests of the Sun Prince Nept Ma Raa.
