Egypt is set to close a deal on building the MENA’s biggest entertainment city in the New Administrative Capital by collaborating with Urban Development (ACUD) and the US-based ATIP New Capital Entertainment, LLC (ATIP Entertainment), said ACUD Spokesman Khaled Al-Husseini.

There are now ongoing negotiations on the deal that Egypt is about to close soon in order to build the largest entertainment district in the New Capital. According to Al-Husseini, the investment will be the largest in the MENA region with an estimation cost of $20 billion.

Last week, ATIP Entertainment said that it had signed a memorandum of understanding with the ACUD to establish the $20 billion project over 4,256 acres in the New Administrative Capital, which has been under construction since 2015.

The site of the project was chosen and the partnership shares were determined. The contracts will be inked after the conclusion of negotiations,” said Al-Husseini.

The aim of the project is to attract an even bigger investment to Egypt and specifically to the New Capital, in addition to providing a huge number of job opportunities.

“The New Administrative Capital is attractive to the business community due to the multiple investment opportunities and incentives it offers, as well as the facilities introduced to obtain all the licences from one body, which is the New Administrative Capital Company”, Al-Husseini stated.

The vision of the plan includes resorts and themed hotels, a wellness centre, luxury homes, vacation rentals, a VIP golf course and other recreational and green space activities, heme parks, a cultural arts centre, a planetarium, aviary, butterfly, topiary and botanical gardens/conservatories, a museum and recreational activities for children, a Formula One racetrack and a sports and concert stadium

Moreover, the district will include two new iconic landmarks featuring what will be the world’s tallest observation wheel, connecting Egypt’s past to its future for viewers and the world’s tallest obelisk, an ancient symbol of Egypt’s cultural heritage.
