We’re starting off our #AltTuesdays this month with Jordanian visiting musician and producer, Ghaem jozi – غائم جزئي! He started his solo project in 2016, where he tends to deliver the sound of the desert in a unique way. Attempting to capture and depict all the elements and magic of the desert, Ghaem Jozi is inspired by the silence, vastness, journey of the wind and nostalgia of traditional music which he translates into dance-able electronic music. He plays Indietronica – Microtonal/ Maqam Music, and is currently in the process of recording his first album.

Up next is Procession Towards the Unknown – مسيرة نحو المجهول, an experimental project that strives to guide both performer and listener towards altered states of perception. It can include any form of art, as long as it is improvised and isn’t prepared beforehand. It is a way of discovering and understanding the self and the surroundings through the art of automatic improvisation, beyond the usual rational boundaries. Expect a night of avant-garde/experimental music.
