Egypt Media Company Launches New Channel to Broadcast AFCON Matches

‘Time Sport’ channel was launched on Thursday by Egypt Media Company, in cooperation with the National Media Authority, the channel is to broadcast the Africa 2019 Cup of Nations. 

The tournament is coming to Egypt on June 21st, and fans will now be able to watch the matches on Time Sport. Egypt Media Company guarantees fans the highest quality of coverage, done by the best team, who were carefully picked from the field.

The satellite is now available on Nilesat satellite, with the frequency of 11449.

Time Sport is expected to collaborate with a number of well-know professional sport expert,s including Ahmed Shober, Saif Zaher, Tamer Sakr, Hassan Shehata, Taha Ismail, Hossni Abd Rabo, Hazem Imam, Hossni Abed Rabbo Emad Mettab, Abd el-Zaher el-Sakka, Gamal el-Ghandor, Mohamed Ramadan, Tarik el-Adoar, Shaima Saber, Ahmed Ezz, Yehia Hamza, Mirekil Nassif, Fathallah Dadim, Amr Jamel and others.

Tamer Morsi, head of the Egyptian Media Group, stressed on the right of Egyptians to watch the tournament matches over terrestrial frequencies, and that Time Sport will be a remarkable addition to the sport entertainment industry in Egypt.

EFA Considers the Appointment of Hassan Shehata as National Team Coach

Former coach of Egypt’s team Hassan Shahata is about to be offered soon his position back as the national team coach by the Egyptian Football Association committee. 

As the former coach of Egypt’s team, Shehata was able to lead the team to a win in the African Nations Cup in 2006 -2008 – 2010, in addition to winning the African Youth Championship in 2003.

EFA officials are also considering appointing Ehab Galal, the current coach of Al-Masry, as Egypt’s general coach.

Football Federation officials recently announced that the final candidates are Ehab Galal, Hossam Al-Badri, Talat Yousef, Hassan Shehata and Tarek el Ashry.

What has been confirmed so far is that Essam Al-Hadari will be assigned coach of the team’s goalkeepers, however the position of coach still remains unannounced and the competition is fierce with the following names as candidates: Abdel Zaher El Sakka, Mohamed Shawky, EmadMeteb and Hosni Abd Rabbo.

Farida Osman Claims her Fourth Medal During the African Games

World champion Farida Osman added a new medal to the Egyptian delegation during our participation in the African Games taking place now in Morocco.

Osman added the silver medal of the 50m freestyle after taking the 50 meter in only 25.6 seconds, outperforming South African Irene Gallagher. 

This medal is the fourth for Osman in this African Games as she has already acclaimed the gold medal of 100 meters butterfly, gold 50 meters butterfly and silver 100 meters freestyle.

Egyptian swimmer Ali Khalafallah has also won a gold medal.

Mo Salah Becomes the First Egyptian to Achieve the European Super

After participating with Liverpool in the acquisition of the fourth title in its history, Mo Salah became the first Egyptian player ever to accomplish such a win and the third Arab player to win the European Super Cup.

He comes in third place after Algerian Rabeh Madjer, and Moroccan Ashraf Hakimi, and the beginning with Madjer who led Porto to win the Champions League title back in 1987.

For his part, Salah has made remarkable contributions to the return of the European Super Hugging Reds, ever since the crowning of the title in 2005.
